3DS Max Snaps not working

Hello everyone.

I'm having a problem with the snaps in Max, it's really weird.
Snapping works fine while creating objects, be they primitives, splines or bones.
But when I try to move or edit objects, it doesn't work, it's as if I didn't even have snaps turned on! It's really annoying.

If anyone could help, that would be great.

If you're grabbing the gizmo from the center (the yellow circle) this actually overrides snapping settings. As Jet_Pilot suggested, you will need to use the handles for snapping.

Be sure that in your snap settings something is checked... Preferably the setting you want to snap with.

Thank you all for your replies. My snap settings are set to snap to vertices, and I also tried snapping to the grid. As I said before, snapping works, but only when creating objects. It doesn't work when moving or editing objects, though, and that is my problem.

I always use the gizmo handles for moving.
Grabbing the circle in the center doesn't allow me to move the object at all.

All this is not file-specific either, if I open another file or create a new one, the problem persists.

If you use handles then it might be that the Use Axis Constraint is on, should be in one of the tabs when you open up the Snap Settings one. I think it's called Options, the checkbox should be at the bottom.

Also, in your Snap Settings, make sure the dropdown is set to Standard.

Checking/unchecking axis constraints does nothing, apart from what you'd expect it to do, which is enabling/disabling the axis constraints.
The dropdown menu is set to standard.

This is what my Grid and Snap Settings window looks like:

Dug around the web figuring someone had to have had this issue before you.
    I found a solution.

    customize>Preferences>Gizmos tab

Move/rotate transforms section (bottom of the window)
Make sure its set to Intersection rather than Projection.

In the "snaps" tab, I typically have one or the other selected. (grid or vertex snapping) Using grid snapping in any kind of perspective view is usually not usable (unless creating a primitive on the grid.)

Just in case this helps you find your solution.

Yes, that fixed it! Thank you!
