3D Artist (Video Game Development)

Summary: Create high-quality 3D art content for PC games. Join a team of talented, ambitious developers passionate about creating the next innovative game.

Responsibilities:
  • Build high quality 3D models from 2D concepts, including texturing and UV-mapping
  • Rig 3D models
  • Animate 3D models
  • Create new 3D art content, arrange existing content, and help to prepare content for our programmers to put in game
Qualifications:
  • Ability to produce functional artwork in advanced software such as 3DS Max, Maya and Photoshop
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your 3D art work
  • An understanding of Zbrush or similar alternatives
  • Ability to make a high poly mesh and break it down to a low poly mesh
  • Can unwrap & texture models
  • Able to rig models
  • Knowledge of how to animate a 3D model
  • Willingness to learn and have your work critiqued
  • Experience with modeling organic creatures or humanoids
  • Must either be in Edmonton or willing to re-locate as this is an in-house, full-time position
A Plus:
  • Knowledge on how to bring your assets into Unity3D
  • Ability to set up materials and select shaders in Unity3D
  • Good understand of LOD and how to generate LOD levels
  • Great texturing knowledge
  • Able to work with and keep track of multiple project files
