Leading mobile games developer and worldwide publisher of mobile and social games Gameloft, is creating a position for a Senior Technical Artist!
Job Description & Environment:
As a member of the art team, your main tasks will consist in creating shaders, tools and optimizing 3D asset creation pipelines as well as profiling versions, in collaboration with the production teams.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrating strong technical skills and a solid understanding of rendering theory and 3D engines.
Demonstrating good communication skills with team of artists and programmers.
Demonstrating a strong understanding of the 3D asset creation workflow and tools, high and Low poly.
Recommending improvements to the art pipeline and actively guiding the implementation of these improvements.
Being actively involved in the creation process, constantly interacting with the artists, game and level designers
Leading technical solutions for improving the visual quality of our products within the platform limitations.
Requirements:
> 3 years of professional experience as Technical Artist working on PC or console game titles.
High proficiency in shading languages such as GLSL or HLSL.
High proficiency in 3D Studio Max & Maxscript.
Knowledge of the modelling/texturing pipeline (with performance/memory considerations).
Interest in latest graphics rendering techniques and tools.
Highly motivated with a passion for video games, tools and production processes.
Knowledge of editors like Unity or Unreal is a plus.
Knowledge of Vray or Mental Ray is a plus.
Knowledge of character rigging is a plus.
Fluent English.
*It will be required to do a test as a first step of the selection process.
