Basic rules:

CnC is encouraged....
I would really like some feed back, especially on some of the more advanced work that I'm belting out. It motivates me to improve on my skills.

Books and blogs I have read.
  • "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain"
a very good book written by Dr. Betty Edwards. Think of it as a mental toolkit that will allow you to study life, as well as others work.
  • Blog: John K Stuff
Classic cartoons from the Golden Age have many of the same fundamentals as professional illustration. Just don't get hung up here too long.

So I let this thread lie derlict for far too long. I have a project, my first organic model made in Blender. The ref source is at www.the-blueprints.com.
What I am having trouble with is the crotch. I have made many attempts in my live only to find myself chucking the file into the recycle bin. Help.

What I cant seem to get in my head is how to best get the legs on the torso mesh. Both started as 8 sided cylinders which I think served nicely, but every time I come to the crotch I find a strange contortion of verts or get one homeless without anything to connect to. Does anyone have a good guide? I can’t seem to find any on the internet.
