I've been going through and organizing some of the pictures I've taken over the last 2 years and I decided to share them.

I know most of you use cgtextures but I think you might find some useful things in this pack.

There are 444 pictures atm, and it's a 5GB archive
I didn't include any tiling textures, but those should be pretty straight forward to make with most of the pictures.
Most of the pictures are 5184x3456 and in jpg format.

As I took these pictures over a period of 2 years, the quality will vary. Some of the pictures are intended to be used for texturing, and some are just reference for making textures.
There's also about 100 pictures of various architecture.

These are free to use for commercial use, but they may not be redistributed unless proper credit is given and may not be sold as separate products.

If there's any interest in this, I will regularly update this thread with new textures. And I'll take requests if anyone has any.

@bnosam: Yeah, unfortunately mega only works in chrome and IE 10 I think.

I tried uploading it to mediafire yesterday but my connection timed out halway through

I'll try again tonight.

I really want to make a website for this, would make things a lot easier. I have no idea how to design a website though.

I'm also planning on going out and taking some more pictures some time this week so expect an update soon!

Hey Guys, ive been to Rome last year and have about ~400 ref pics taken with a 5D Mark 1. There are a lot of really nice Renaissance and typical italian pics in it, Walls, Doors, Details etc. If your interested ill upload it. Have some Ref Pics of Dresden (germany), mostly baroque style buildings too ~50. Please pm me if youre want them, if there are enough people ill post it.

Ok i uploaded them on Mega, there are 3 rars in it, Rome, Dresden and Raw images(Rome). The settings of the cam arent perfect, sometimes more sometimes less due to time and diskspace problems (only 8gb in rome->mostly jpgs ).

Rome ~460 Files + 72 Raws , Dresden 67 most of them with Raws. 3.63gb. I used an 50mm 1.8II and 24-85 mm 3.5-4.5 Canon Lens without a tripod.

Just checked it out. There's a lot of great architecture reference, definitely useful

Don't really need to upload raw images, just make sure you do all the proper raw processing before saving as jpg, like exposure, contrast, noise/sharpening and lens correction.

Unfortunately I had to postpone going out to take more pictures a few times due to bad weather but if the weather is okay I'll go this week. I'm also going on a 3 day trip to France in 2 weeks so expect a big addition after that.

If anyone has any requests for textures or reference pictures, please let me know!

Thank you for these! I will definitely be downloading them later.

I read up on this, because my ISP also did the same thing and from what I understand, they throttle your speed ONLY when they see you UPLOADING. It sucks just as much, but I hope that helps deal with them a little more :poly122: Thanks again Komaokc.

No problem!

My download speed is no longer capped, but I still need to limit the upload speed during the day to 250kbps or I won't be able to do anything online.

I'd recommend anyone to just download chrome and use mega. It's VERY fast and the torrent will take a while.

Thank you so much. I've been looking for another artist to share their textures. Usually I have to spend hours looking on a search engine for a usable texture. For some reason a lot of artists out there don't like to share textures. Thanks for being a team player and sharing :thumbup:

@uberphoenix Yeah, there seems to be something weird going on with mega atm, but it should still download the file either way. And significantly faster than other free sites.

I think that's due to rapidshare's file sharing restrictions. You'd have to wait a day. So far mega is the only file sharing site I've found where you can upload big files without restrictions.

I uploaded part 8 on dropbox, I can't upload everything though, because my space on dropbox is limited.
