Thanks man. Can't wait to finish it either although it'll probably take some time. I really like the hand-painted style, but haven't got around doing something proper of that in quite some time so feeling a bit rusty which just makes it about time I got around doing it.

So here's the current progress. In the awkward state where some things are nicer than others but it's starting to take shape. The biggest issue right now is balancing the colors of the armor and coat. The face is also going to be a challenge as I'm looking for a somewhat attractive tom-boy look of her so it'll be a balancing act.
Additionally I'm designing the details as I go which I would not really recommend. For this project I wanted to try to make something on the fly without a concept which really slowed me down and not that I didn't know it before but it's a healthy reminder of the importance to resolve any design issues on paper before moving on to actually build the thing.

After looking more the Khador faction in Warmachine I noticed that black plays quite a big role in their color-scheme so I made some changes. Still not hay with the face, need to do some more reference-looking.

Cool sketchbook man, been an interesting browse. That latest character reminds me of torchlight II a little bit.

Glad you found my stuff interesting Laze. Haven't taken a close look at Torchlight 2 but liked the first one very much. Don't know if I've taken any influences though in terms of design as I've been mostly looking at WarMachine miniatures.

Got a new video up. A quick little concept for something.

New in progress. Was a while ago I made something in this style and had started to miss it.

Ged: Indeed, lip color added.

Daven: Yes I will. Recording this as well so feedback is welcome before I put it out.

So here's the current state. Not entirely sure if it was the best decision to clean thing up and simplifying shapes to make things more striking instead of going for more chaotic which might give more dynamism.

Also, dug up an older wip and been working on it on and off.

It lacks a bit of roundness, but I like the idea!

konstruct: Wouldn't say that Mucha was on my mind but I do enjoy his style so it might have had some influences, certainly and the swirly elements.

noniol: my thanks!

acapulco: Do you mean the second image? Now that you mention in I see the shading around the character is too flat on what is essentially a cone shape. Will have to resolve that.

Finished the "Lady Red" image and video is up. Enjoy!

Oh, sorry, yes, I meant the 2nd image. The red girl looks cool, I like it! You could have emphasized the S dynamic in her more, but its cool anyways =)

acapulo: Hm, probably could have. I like that things became more subtle though but must admit that the S-flow of things slipped my mind in the end, which is something I usually keep in mind. Will have to play around with that more in future images.
Thanks for the feedback.

So, been trying out gouache lately and must say I love it. Recommended for anyone wanting to try their hand at "real" painting.
These where made on top of drawings on paper. I also used markers and ink-pen.

Thanks mister Nord.

Keeping up the portraits. In hindsight, not happy at all the the one to the left. Anyway, it's practice.
