Hi all!! I'm a bit late to the party but it looked like too much fun not to join in

I'm not 100% sure on my hero pick but so far I had an idea I liked for Crystal Maiden so here's the first concept.

After being trained by the ice wizard for years and left to guard his glacier while he sleeps... she has proclaimed herself queen of the realm and decided to spread her icy powers beyond the glacier itself.

It's a good start, I like the crown and collar but I think the shoulders could be more than just fluff/fur. Though they should still retain some to accent the rest of her.

Maybe continue with the Gold material from the staff to accentuate the fur shoulders?

1,2 and 4 have a good design in them. The hair in 3 is taking it too far though.
As for the staff designs, they're all nice. Maybe stiffen them up a bit so they don't seem that fragile.

I'm a bit confused. 2 and 3 have the same body... I only changed the hair between 2, 3 and 4.

I REALLY like nr1. Specifically the shoulders/collar thing. The others just look very generic compared to it. Also, it reminds me of the icequeen from Narnia...I think thats a good thing.

I think number 2 fits her more as a character than any of the others. But I also like design number 1.

I don't think a crown fits her in any case, but the slightly changed hairstyle in 4 is pretty neat. I'd actually love to see 2 with the hair of 4 and the circlet of 2.

That's good I like number 1 the most as well so far. I Think I'm almost ready to start modeling tonight If anyone has any reference images of royal scepters or cool fancy clothing then feel free to post it. I feel like I haven't found the right staff yet so I'll have to sketch up some more quick concepts for it.

1 is the best so far, i'd definitely buy that. The whole coat thing is badass! Imo 2,3,4 are also very good but what I'm afraid of is the silhouette starting to bleed into Invoker territory, personal opinion but I just feel like sticking with 1 (not only your best option imo) is probably your safest option as well

After blocking in some 3D stuff I just plain didn't like the design. So I did another pass on the concept stage. I've updated first post with the new concepts.

Let me know your thoughts!

Does anyone know how easy it is to hook up dynamics to a part of a character? I know Templar assassin's long sleeve is dynamic but I'm not sure if I can do the same if I model long sleeves for CM.
