hmmmm, 14-year-old me would probably freak out about this, but 33-year-old me could have done without the laugh track.

I dunno man, they did that comeback one-off without a laugh track and it was just kind of.. weird and cold. Then someone took a clip of it and put the laughs back over, and it was just like old times. Laugh track is the right choice for me :]

HELLZ YEAH!

I could whine about how it's not a simultaneous international release and use that as justification to pirate it but I'll just wait for the US release because I'm not a entitled baby.

The wait makes it better, like waiting for your Gazpacho soup to get piping hot.

Heh, obviously not subscribed to their facebook page eh? They post all kinds of updates like behind the scenes.

Oh and Justin...That's mighty soupa of you to wait rather than pirate.

I hope its back to the glory days of the first few series and not like the last crap they released.

I agree, the last outing suffered badly for not having a laugh track. But even if it had one the jokes were terrible.

Yeah, I LOVED the old Red Dwarf, and was stoked that there was new stuff coming, but then I saw an episode, and it just wasn't the same because they didn't film it in front of a live audience, it lost something there, so I never saw any more then that.

And for those who saw all the old ones, gotta love reading these:

One of my overall favorites are this one:

[Found out that Lester will be dying later on]
[Lister]: You said yourself. I can't stop it. Let's get this over with. [grabs a pipe]
[Rimmer]: Lister, what's that for?
[Lister]: I'm going out as I came in, screaming and kicking.
[Rimmer]: You can't just whack Death on the head!
[Lister]
: If he comes near me, I'm gonna rip his nipples off!

Seriously though - I loved the original series (it´s very popular around here, especially in Czech republic it´s aired all the time) and if I´m ever going to watch this, I´ll be probably clinching my butt again hoping they don´t sink deeper in the crap as with the last "revival". This series should be handled as some kind of national treasure - if you´re not going to polish it up, better don´t touch...

its just a shame that rob grant can't see his way to getting back together with doug naylor, it would be ten times better.
seems like naylor wrote all of this series(only six episodes)

Aw, I thought you meant this type of red dwarf:

Which had me excited in a sort of 'Whey! Should I be excitied, yes?' kind of way :p

As for the series, sure it was great, a bit before my time though.. as with most good things, bugger it! :/
