This is fan art. I really love the art direction for Torchlight 2, and when I saw the concept art for this character I couldn't resist giving it a go. Currently working on the body. I have a lot of his clothing and kit blocked out already, but it's not ready to show.

Hey bruv. This is dope.

Awesome, I love hows its coming!
Some things that stick out to me as off:
*The hard line on the calves looks really odd, They're not really defining any anatomical detail.. they're just kinda there.
Also the iliac crests look too protrusive, and maybe a bit high. perhaps shorten the hip bone vertically a bit and define the abdominal oblique

Thanks guys! Trying to make sure the silhouette is breaking nicely with the angles that I see in the concept art. Still loads to do.

You're pulling off the feel of the concept very well.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. Made some more progress on the sculpt. I am going to bring this to a finish, by the way. So a fully textured model is coming. I don't think I'm going to go MMO res on him since it's for my folio. I'll make more of a cutscene version. Going to try to stay under 10k triangles.
Still to do on the sculpt:
- hair refinement
- cloth refinement
- armor plating refinement
- leather portion of boots
- pants
- his satchel
- metal glove on left hand
- add pyramid studs
- proportion tweaks and just generally being fussy

Way to go, the energy and bounce in this are great!
My only 2c would be that in the concept art (especially the second) there seems to be a nice and deliberate contrast between the blocky, angular clothing/props/outline and the soft, youthful form of his face. Even his nose, the blockiest feature on his face, is very soft and rounded. I totally understand if the lines you've introduced are stylistic, for me they age and harden the character a little. I also feel like it misses a golden opportunity to contrast his soft human features with the other forms, something that might draw your eyes to the face.

looking really good man. i would suggest making the mouth less human like and more like the concept, but other than that I think you've done a great job of the concept

This is looking great man! I do agree with bakedbeing about the forms in the face being softer in the concept art. Looking forward to seeing your progress

@bakedbeing & afisher, I agree completely, thanks guys!
I took a stab at sculpting the metal glove, but I wasn't happy with the result so I scrapped it and remade it using subd modeling in Max. I'm much more pleased with this version, and Quad Chamfer made it a breeze to quickly add the support edges. I still need to do a damage pass on it in ZBrush.

Amazing stuff. I love the progress you're making on the sculpt. Strong shapes and you've pretty much nailed the look of the concept. Looking forward to seeing textures.

I'm pretty sure the sculpt is done. Don't want to get stuck in sculptville too long on personal projects or my interest will start to wane. It's a trap! Time to get some low poly work done on this fellow to keep momentum moving forward . If anyone has any last minute feedback, let me know.
