Hey Guys, I was wondering if any of you know of a Tumblr or Pintrest type program that is uber secure for a Company's use.
I was just thinking about how awesome it would be to easily put up images for critique on something like pintrest.
I guess a broader question is at your company, how do you display your wips for art discussion and general critique? Just an email to the Lead or AD? or something else?

you should be able to install pretty much any blog/gallery system on your internal network without problems, so long as its not being exposed to the net.

There's a lot of crazy software that does a lot of this for you, manages file versions, backs up files, allows easy flagging and version history, etc etc.

Wow this would be pretty cool to have at work, if only just to show each other some personal stuff...
I should bring this up tomorrow!

I really like this idea. Seems like a super efficient way to get everyone more involved in the process. We just look at each others computers

To me it sounds like Zac was referring more to SVN or alienbrain.

yeah we use that at work. definitely one of the most structured ways of keeping track of not just images, but entire tasks.

We use Jira here, they have a lot of addons too, so that's cool. But all the add ons are very "Producer"-centric. Nothing purely for an art gallery type thing..

I trailed this software which was pretty damm cool. You can click on the image thumb to go into comment mode. Flag it as resolved (like JIRA!) draw on it, comment on it, ect.

Though you would need to find out if it can be hooked up onto an internal network.

Its not drag and drop easy, but I found it quite easy to pick up.

we have wordpress intranet site with drag & drop upload for binary files. You can comment on images, but there's no way to annotate the image itself or draw on it, like in Alienbrain. We don't use it for art critique though.

I think you can create custom blogs on "Confluence". I think a fair few companies (including us) use this for storing game and asset information.
