I'd like to see comparison screenshots I figured any deferred render solution should be able to easily fix it. But as far as udk goes, there's no "fix"

Why? Isn't their SSAO just another post process chain?

DSAO (I think, the new AO in CE3) takes lights into account. It's very cool..

Do you mean SSDO (Screen Space Directional Occlusion)? It's very nice stuff, especially because it can color the occlusion based on the light.

Hm. I always liked occlusion in sun. It masked pretty well all those tileable textures.

On a serious note, can't wait to see the reveal at E3.

Despite hopes to the contrary, recent reports have suggested that Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) will be unlikely for release on the upcoming Xbox 720 with the game’s publisher, Epic, revealing the latest Microsoft console is more likely to use the series’ third incarnation: EU3.

Not saying anything other than ... EU3? Did anyone proof read this article in any way? Of course not.

There's a very good chance that I experienced MORE problems, then all the internet put together in the area of 3D. Talk about being original for once...

Quit ragging on the Greeks you Turk :P The Portuguese, Spanish and the Irish screwed the pooch just as bad.

So excited for E3 now. It's going to be a massive year for hardware and getting a look at the road ahead, but hopefully there's as many cool new titles announced also.

I really want to see Unreal Tournament 4 get announced. And I'd like to see Epic leave the Gears of War aesthetic behind and show us something new. If they can make a game as awesome as the original UT but as pretty as the Samaritan demo, insta-buy. I wonder if the samaritan demo shares anything with the next UT...

I'm sure that all of the features that were in the Samaritan demo will be in Unreal Engine 4 from day one.

That being said, I'd love to see a new franchise from Epic using the Samaritan universe and aesthetic.
Gears (as much as I adore it) is a current gen' IP, and I hope that we have something new for the future.

What I meant was perhaps the Samaritan demo takes place within the same universe as the next UT. I wouldn't say so, UT is usually sci-fi that's further in the future, but ya never know.

That's impossible. Have you seen that dude's neck and thighs? UT takes place in a world in which people's necks are as thick as their thighs and their thighs are as thick as their torsos.

That's what I'm hoping they are going to start straying away from :P That and massive armour. Let that be their distinct visual style for this generation about to pass. Show us something new Epic! ;)
