daphz: Thanks man. Yea I'll be doing retopo and texturing her. Been watching some of your livestreams while I work
Sculptaur: Cheers, yea I'm planning on it ;)
EiGHT: Thanks bro. Nothing special about the cloth, just standard, move, smooth and pinch brushes. Block the cloth flow in on the lower subdivisions and then clean up as I go up in the levels. Some areas look alright, but others still need some work.
Wester: haha thanks heaps, I really appreciate that
foreverendering: Cheers mate!

Dan!: Cheers dude
ChaosEidolon: Thanks Willem
Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been a bit busy. I've finished the low poly, the tri count is sitting at about 15k and I've done some bakes. There's a little bit of clean up to do, but here she is fresh out of the oven

Nice bakes man, looking sharp! The cloth work and the polycount seem really sensible too.
I hope you finish

Hey dude, do you have a video or any links to how you sculpt a female eye? They are really well done and beautiful. Thank you for your inspiring works.

RiotForQuiet: Cheers. I've got some old timelapses I put on vimeo, but no female eyes. I'll have to do some new timelapses ;)
joymepls: Thanks mate
Started working on the diffuse. I've blocked in the main colours and added some details to the metal armour and pants. The hair is just a placeholder at the moment. I'm hoping to find some time on the weekend to get some more work done on her.... I wanna get her finished soon

haha thanks Duncan and mr_ace!
so last week I had a bit of a set back with my wacom pen breaking into about 8 different pieces But I got a new one the other day and got back to it. Textures are almost done... here's what she's looking like. Let me know what you think:

Man this is looking so good. i love the face texture. I really need to ask because I have some trouble with this. how do you get so much resolution in your face textures. Ive been able to get to the point where I can make decent results with my textures but im still struggling to get that much detail. Awesome work looking forward to seeing this beauty in all its finished glory.

wow dude, your art is so sexy! just a thought, but what do you think about throwing a bit more orange highlights into your texture in a few places? Maybe on the belt, the pouches, the gloves, or the knee-pads? Maybe some decals or badges sewn on or silk-screened on the pants? It might help to bounce the viewer's eyes around a bit. Either way, I absolutely love what you're doing!

Amazing man. You always make flat color areas so gorgeous. They are not visually boring at all. Is that all because of the spec?
On the left shoulder armor is that green color painted into the diffuse? It seems sorta strong compared to any of the other subtle color variation.

praetor187- Thanks man. I usually just give the face more UV space and I'll sometimes give things a slight sharpen to make some of the details pop a bit more.
eazy- Thanks for the suggestions. Yea I might look at adding a some more orange in the lower half of the model. I thought about adding some badges in, but that idea got lost somewhere along the way. Not sure if I'll get around to adding them now, but I'll see. Thanks again.
nyx702- Cheers mate. I try to put some subtle texture variation in the diffuse and then push the contrast and hues more in the spec, so hopefully that adds some visual interest. That green (and purple) is coming from the spec, but you're right it's a bit too strong at the moment. Thanks for letting me know.

Slick work man, is that hair hand painted or photo sourced. Either way very nice.

Hmmm great bake and I like the direction you're going in. I'd spend a bit more time on the color-scheme for this one though! You want to end up showing the most detailed and interesting bits without everything blending into each other too much or getting noisy.
Just try painting some colors over your characters suit with some "color overlay" in photoshop to see if you can get any cool colorschemes out of it. Doesn't need to be really really colorful, it could be dark and very subtle colors. You just want to make some things pop more.
Good work so far!
