Decided to finally create a sketchbook to keep up on my projects instead of blowing up the forum with alot of individual threads. Heres a door I've been working on for my hard-surface modeling class. I've been staring at it quite a bit and adding wear and tear. Give me feedback on if perhaps I need more or something looks goofy? also the bottom door base plate will have detailing I just havent arrived at a process to do it yet but I will include the idea I'm thinking of working on... lemme know what you guys think!

it seems that metal parts are going through the stone, door sticks to arch too closely.
other than that it looks really good.

I did a drawing a long time ago with a gargoyle carrying away a guy. I redrew it and designed the gargoyle and now I'm trying to sculpt it out.

Can't Sleep.... Decided to sculpt more like I should be doing. This idea stems from a butler character I have in my head (probably inspired by Woodhouse from Archer) anyways he tends to the house and has all sorts of things go wrong all the time

retopologized and learning FiberMesh. Its not easy and I fight with the grooming but hey what comes easy at first? Next step to projection paint his skin then import everything into maya and try my luck at rendering it there.

Finally got some shading on this thing. hair isn't exactly how I imagined it yet. It self shadows too much. If anyone knows a better fix for hair in Maya lemme know! The texture is a rough and his mouth.. well doesnt open haha eventually that will be fixed.. or not... because I wun need it to.

I got a nice work flow for hair from Zbrush to Maya. Once you export the curves out as a maya scene (.ma) then follow this tutorial to get the hair on there: http://poly-face.com/Maya_Tutorial_M...in_Maya_part_1
