This thread will show my process from start to finish with this character(the Tick).

The requirements for this build is 1200 tris and a texture sheet no larger than 512 X 512 ....

After making a few adjustments the poly count has gone up past the requirements. I've fixed the side of the head,chin and built up his legs and fixed his ankles. Finally I fixed and removed the eyes i figured that I'll just create the eye area with both the normal map and color map to help save on the poly count.

Added additional edge loops to bulk up pectoral muscles.

Hi Phil,

Okay your progression with this design is your choice if your just having fun and this isn't going to your portfolio then you can go crazy with exploring what works and what doesn't or you can review this thread instead of the initial image I posted in the other thread.

This is pretty awesome, what you should take from this is the placement of the lines.
To what I mentioned in the previous thread, lines and details that illustrate both functionality (Animation lines) and overall silhouette.

Hope this helps more than just you but to be honest in the past I'd do things 2 or 3 times over just to get it looking good and manageable.
