oh shit, it's scooby doo.

thanks for the words.

will do rest of cast later, plus don knotts because he was the best guest star. and bat man doesn't count because that movie was shitty and dumb.
probably redo shaggy, he doesn't look quite right somehow (maybe too cartoony. eyes to close, too big? maybe someone that isn't me could point out what they feel is off?) essentially just doing portraits for char sheets for a Cthulhu d20 campaign I might be GM for someday. will require research (aka watching scooby doo)

"oh look at my stupid fucking hand, lol anime poses" is what he says.
shit fuck coloring, need to work on my coloring because I'm getting real sick of looking at the way I do it.
cant sleep so I drew the idea I had for the contest (that I obviously will not complete. Maybe some other day for fun?) Squall from Dissidia 012 as a manikin hunter. Essentially, all of his fellow fighters are dead, fallen to the hordes of Manikin, growing ever powerful, and slowly more twisted, yet strangely closer in form to his lost friends. The burden of thousands of past deaths remembered, and the guilt of being unable to save his friends, squall is finally alone. His mind is kind of.. Not there. Why won't the cycle start again? Why won't they come back? Squall fights in hopes of finding out why.
He wears bits and pieces of his dead friend's costume, cloud's shoulder thing, lightnings cape thing, and cecil's chest plate. Bartz's chocobo feather is in his headband. etc.

Round 2. More animu in this one, but overall better(?)
maybe more..better animu?

so much wrong with this picture, ass/things/legs too big for scrawny ass torso. But that's why i uploaded it! I'll work on it. I want to play MK9 rite now. though I am proud of the fabric around the breasts, i feel as though i'm getting better at fabric/how it reacts with the body. Hooray.
Based on my Hell: After the End (H:Ate) Character, Trisitania.
"A gaunt woman. Her faintly glowing mint green hair has straight cut bangs that fall just under her eyes. Aside from that, it's a general mess. Mascara has run down her cheeks, from underneath her hair. Her mouth is slightly open, revealing her pronounced front teeth. Her face has a jagged scar from the left side of her lips to her left ear. You're wearing a t-shirt, a pair of elbow-length yellow gloves, a pair of short pants, and a parachute. Trisitania is wearing her scarlet Junior Anti-Sex League Sash."

again with the lady from beyond badness. this time with a large blade(?) instead of a pipe. i guess she's one of the scattered remnants of humanity. all that's left is a bunch of goddam idiots that don't even know how to talk, read, or do anything remotely human.
savages, forgetting all that made humanity what it used to be.

thankss. i guess I sat down to try and draw a female character and realized that something was horribly wrong (see first attempt at doing so.) and then spent like an hour making myself do it right the next day. i guess it worked.

how do you mean?

I drew a landscape and then noticed that it was slanted at pretty much the same degree that the last picture I drew was. So... (character kind of looks pasted in. and is. but, still, i greatly prefer it this way.)

going to buy a scanner sometime soon here, any suggestions?
I'm personally noticing a larger gap between my computer rendered drawings and my paper work.
I'm thinking it has to do with 1 thing
On the computer, i find it difficult to make small, precise lines, and thusly most of my computer drawings are made with broad, sweeping lines of varying thickness.
On paper, there is a great deal more shading, and thin, quick lines to define features/areas of darkness. I don't feel as though the range of my ability is fully represented with the pictures uploaded here for that reason, and thusly I will purchase a scanner with the hopes of sharing, and learning from it all.

ART DUMPS

playing with generic anime stuff for fun

Pencil

Minotaur

I apologize for large images. I have learned the art of resizing, recently. It is a good idea.

I hope to do a lot lot lot lot more of anatomical/face studies and share the results with you wonderful folk..now that I have a scanner. Yup! I drew most of this stuff a while ago, just uploading it now that I can.

I'm planning on going to some art school type thing with a focus on animation this fall.

Thanks! But I'm not sure what you mean by 'serious art'. Do you mean like..painting? Or life studies? Or like a finished project, etc?

Studies and finished drawings! Proportion (not necessarily realistic), perspective, form, and observation are still the lifeblood of art no matter what your style is, and you can only take those skills so far without drawing from observation.

Yeah. I've got a serious lack of depth/perspective in all of my work. I can't ever seem to make things appear to have form. SO far, everything is very two dimensional. So, yup. I really need to work on life drawing, perspective, form, etc. Thanks for pointing it out. I need to make sure i keep it in mind and actually try to learn all that, sometime.

ELVES, because i've been playing morrowind. not quite elder scrolls elves but definitely borrowing heavily from them.
AND A BEEFCAKE anatomy thing with grumpy friend nearby.

As far as doing more serious arts, any tips on how to start? Useful websites? Just general helpful bits of words? Particularly in the form and perspective front. I really really do need to start understanding these concepts better. I feel a certain sense of deja vu asking this, but ask i must.
