Hey guys, new to this forum. Recently I told a friend from my old Gamedesign study that I wanted to do some 3D modeling again in my spare time and he pointed me to this contest. I haven't been using 3DSMax for years but I'm just going to give it a try.

I started by browsing other entries and I noticed that alot of people used wings for the angelic theme. I wanted to incorporate the angel theme in a different way. I looked up some icons of angels and noticed the halo's around the angels head. So I decided to use the halo as a kind of sawblade on a stick. Here's my first sketch of the weapons blade. Note that the hilt is just a placeholder.

It would be great if you guys could give some tips. I'm worried that the blade will be to flat and fragile. How can I make sure it's chunky enough?
I'm also still thinking about how I should attach the blade to the hilt in a way that it'll look solid, but doesn't draw attention away from the angelface.

yeah, i'd suggest using a hosting sight like imageshack.us or photobucket instead of dropbox. there are also a lot of work places that don't allow dropbox image viewing for some reason, so switch it up and we'll take a look at your stuff

Small update. Worked on some transitions from blade to hilt. Also saved one showing the face of the angel (used Natalie Portman as a reference ). I started out with B but it didn't look stabel enough and reminded me to much of a lollipop. So I added stained glass but that didn't seem stable enough for the big blade so I came up with hilt C. I really like that one although a fleur de lis is kind of generic.

Can anyone please confirm if the links are working now?
