Hi Guys, I´m very new to 3D and all this stuff.
I watched a tutorial for Blender how to create a hat for TF2.

I got it and I´m also able to export it for Team Fortress 2.

The Problem is, that Hair of the Medic is in my hat, of course I can resize the hat and move it, but the there will be void between his head and the hat.

Btw. this is maybe the worst hat you ever saw:

Is there any other way to get the hair away?

Thanks!

I don't think the medic's hair are a different model (.mdl). Modifying the hair would mean to have a complete new character just for one hat, and i doubt valve would accept it.
The easiest and only way i'm affraid, is to move some points on your hat so the hair don't clip. Just import an original medic hat and see how it fits.

Well, it seems like this is the only way. :/ Maybe this is the reason why there are jsut 7 hats for the medic. I am going to decompile the Vintage Tyrolean now and hope for a answer.

Thanks!

No one will ever see the void, so what's the problem?

Make sure you use proportional falloff editing by hitting o, or alt+o for only parts that are connected.
Not my portfolio site. Updates to come.
