Does anyone know of a good, active editing forum where I get answers to questions about Source SDK?

I'm trying to build an honest-to-god Half-Life 2 level, and I'm having some fundamental problems with Hammer. Yes, I know Source SDK is broken. A lot.

I can't seem to get help from the Steam forums (the idea!), or Snarkpit. Lots of page views, no answers. I need to know stuff like, 'How do I get the Block Tool to show numbers again?'

Been absent from Polycount for a long time, but it's good to see it's still 'the place'.

and also just find any mapping community, mapping for all source and goldsrc games is pretty much the same.

Interlopers! Interlopers got me into mapping and game art, they are probably the best source community on the net. Quite a few old 'lopers here too.

@passerby, thanks, I'm very familiar with the SDK wiki, but it's just not that well-organized. I've failed to find any mention of that little tool issue, and I have larger problems besides, which I need human interpretation for.

ya by numbers you mean the dimensions of the block your are creating right?

and does it still shoe the dimensions of box selections?

from what i know it is olny possible to enable and disable that in the 3d viewport with the "x" key, so maybe just wipe out hammers config and restart to stock settings.

The info bar at the bottom still shows numbers, though, yes.

ya no clue i got them and tried every key comob and option and couldnt disable them, so no clue why there missing for you.

just wipe out hammers config, and get a freash one.

was it facepunchstudios? the GB forum? lotsa info there too.

Could be a video driver issue. What kind of video card do you have and when was the last time you updated the drivers.

I actually had a similiar thing happen to me, and updating the drivers fixed it, as Mark suggested.
