Hey everyone, decided to finally make a sketchbook on here as part of my posting prerogative this year. Crits are always welcome. If I can't learn from my work then I'll never get any better, so fire away!
Anyways, to start things off, here is a prop I'm working on right now.
It's a sword, the concept is from a game called Royal Quest. Almost wrapped up with the texturing:
It's 1494 tris and the textures are 512x1024. Here are the textures:
Here's a turn-table so far:

More to follow!

Welcome to Polycount! I don't know what type of game engine you are building this for, but many of them support color variances in the specular map. Overall, I would say this is a pretty solid piece. I look forward to seeing more of your work on here!

Nice looking blade. the only thing I'm worried about with it is where the hilt connects to the blade. If this was a bayonet, a knife or a dagger, it wouldn't be a problem. But as soon as you get into short swords or three foot blades you start dealing with balance issues. I just think that if you struck something with this there may be some unwanted recoil and the blade might waver a bit.
but I am not a sword expert ha ha. Your textures are really nice though and it looks like a nice model. Keep it up.

Nice, i would say that The handle should be horizontal since right now it is emphasizing the sides of handle

This is some really impressive stuff ! Your 2D work is solid and has such a quality softness to it.. Such a smooth feel. The fuzzy guy with the umbrella is killer !
Like Nyx said, the WoW stuff is also really nice ! And those couple of alien-plant-ish props caught my eye, especially the way you sculpted them. Very solid work across the board! Good stuff!
