created TF2 - polypack- soso188
on 05-25-2010 09:51 PM
Ive forgotten my intro, so heres a go
My pack is for the sniper.
the overall theme is Australian (or British)war weapons, he got from his dad, who, although distains fighting, was a sniper back in the war.
So far, Ive got A bunch of idea's, some good
im calling this one the "Lee's Pride" altho its kind of a poor name.
the desigen is being worked on, its basicly a modifyed Lee engfeald rifle,
it has a faster rate of fire than the basic rifle, because he dosent need to reload a new round each time,
on the downside Its clip based so he has to reload after 5 shots. its also has less overall ammunition because he has to carry the clips rather than just the rounds.
im still working on its design, and the render was very poor
(i removed the flamethrower idea because someone else was doin it

It seems kind of realistic to fit well into the TF2 world. Maybe try pushing some of the more eye-grabbing shapes, like the stock. Or maybe adding the scope on top would be an interesting touch.
Good luck with your computer troubles

as per the rules i read a moment ago, here is 2 more items for the sniper
one is a hat, a bandana that snipers wore back in WW1, (or at least canadian snipers)

the second is a Smg replacement
And this is somethign ive wanted for a VERY long time,
this is the basic design
its based off of the world war 2 SMG, my idea for it, is that is dose more more damage, but slower fire rate, and inacurate after constant fireing. altho im working on makeing a smaller version, so it looks less like a rifle replacement

More pics, this seems like a weapon he would have, considering its an ACTUAL Australian Sub machine gun
well it seems i dont have permission to post that, so ill link the page

ive had very little time to get anything done, but i managed to make a 3d modle of the SMG, i was makeing

anyone with eyes can see its unfinised, i added a basic stock since this was taken,
i also seem to be having trouble with the textureing, i dont understand it very well.
also, its a bit shorter than in this pic, i changed that when i noticed it was a bit big for a SMG

I think you should keep it relatively large, and you might want to exaggerate some things, like the ammo magazine and sight should be larger for instance.
