Hello there, this is my first time posting here and naturally I'm intimidated and in awe of the sheer amount of talent in this art community.
I'm new to 3D max and zbrush, been using the former for roughly 3-4 months for a post-grad course in videogame art and animation. Got tons and tons of stuff that needs drilling into my head.
This sketchbook thread is mainly for showing off what I've been up to. Constructive critique however will be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, it's been a while since the last post. A really long while. I've learned a lot in a short span of time and yet there's still so much to learn. But in my experience, all things are best learned when more things are done.

A videogame crossover request from a friend of mine who wanted a character from Dragon Age 2 put into the Assassin's Creed universe. Visual concept was inspired by one of Craig Mullen's AC illustrations for Ubisoft, although the setting was changed to accommodate a more exotic locale.

WIP base model using Zbrush 4r2's dynamesh feature. So far I like it, and I'll see how much further I can run with this.

My main focus is on concept art for both characters and environments, but I would love to get more into environment level art as well.

[One thing you'll definitely notice about my work is that I'm a big Mass Effect fan, hahaha.]

Oh wow that robot looks awesome. I'm assuming it's giant, but perhaps the painting could do with a proportion reference. A door, person, person interface, or vehicle to show scaling would make it awesome. Your environment painting style is really cool, shows a lot of dynamics in the scenes.
