Please help me get Fallout2 running

I run WinXP SP1 and have Radeon 9600pro graphics card.

It installs fine but when i start it it appears normal for a little while but then the screen starts to kinda blink a bit and the colors get inverted. If i run it in compatibility mode the same deal, if i force 640x480 and 256colors the same happens also disableling directdraw from dxdiag does not help.
Fallout 1.02patch does not fix it either.
The game works under XP for some people and it is Win95 game and uses DX so i cant use DOSbox or anything like that [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Any other ideas i might try?
