Do you have a knack for teaching and want to give back to the game art community?
Do you have a high level of expertise doing something innovative, challenging, or creative you want to share with the world?

3dmotive is looking for new authors to contribute to our growing library. We are seeking well-spoken individuals to bring the best game and industry related tutorials to life. But we don't bring in just any geek off the street - Do you have what it takes? Prove it! Here's how you can get started:

Shoot a short, 5-10 minute video of "something cool" on anything game-art related. The sky's the limit! Got a good method for tiling textures, making a Photoshop brush, or importing a static mesh to CryENGINE 3? Record it using Camtasia at 1280x720 and throw it up on Youtube. (http://www.youtube.com/)
Take a look at any of our free content (http://www.3dmotive.com/) for the quality we are looking for. High energy and well-paced videos are a plus. Our mantra at 3dmotive is "Teach, not just show". Don't go too fast! Make it as clear and concise as possible.
The video and the content is yours to keep! We're looking for quality audio recording levels. Think clear, dummy-proof step-by-step instructions, and the ability to self-edit a short video into something your grandma could follow along with.
Send the Youtube link over to Rhys at rhys@3dmotive.com and he'll make sure the team gets it for review.
If the video melts our faces with how awesome a teacher you would be, we'll contact you with feedback and move forward to the super-secret next phase.

3dmotive pays our authors well, and bonuses are included with authors who diligently deliver on schedule!

Our payouts work as follows:

Flat rate delivery payout for the video itself
Bonus for delivery if on schedule
A percentage of digital sales from our download store
Bonus points for Crysis, Maya, and hard surface content!

What are you waiting for? Go make awesome!

Sounds great!
But should that resolution be 1280 x 720?

Good catch! Yep, 1280 x 720. Post updated. Sorry for the confusion :)
