Created as a speedsculpt in Zbrush (2 hours) and then polypainted. Crits welcome!

Really nice, I like this interpretation. Is it based off something directly? (a concept or comic?)

Thanks, Poopinmymouth! It's a mix based on the original look to the Rhino and a more modern version (shoulder pads). I always liked the original styling to the head in the comics but enjoy one of the modern versions that has a shoulder padding to it.
Here's the static Zbrush speedsculpt: http://www.sgwells3dart.com/rhino2.jpg

Take care with the detail on the head piece, the muscle striation is going all over the place, especially near the eyes, which looks really messy.

Thanks, Ace-Angel, but the static pose was the original speedsculpt version. I cleaned up alot of the details (in the first post with the finished piece) when I posed the bust and then finished the detailing and polypainting.

Nice! I dunno about any redesigned versions, but I thought the dot on the side was always an ear hole, not an eye?

Yeah, I agree with scooby. I was kind of put off by it, but not sure whether you should amp it up as an eye to really play with "is he a rhino with a man face or a man in a rhino hat" or just change it to an ear hole.

I agree it can be a bit odd looking but the original Rhino (from Marvel comics) had eyes on the side of the cowl/hood piece but they were never emphasized to make sure the attention was focus on the face of villain.
Here's a couple of references that I used....
