View Full Version : Couple of light entity problems

Hey folks, I've got a couple of light entity problems going on with 3.3.9.
Firstly, all my models get this nasty shading on them:

Secondly, the light entities seem to give off this really odd cracked... thing:

First one is completely normal. It's a problem in every engine with shadow mapping tech. Can be adjusted by adjusting the shadow depth bias. Personally I'd just use a texture that's not solid colour to hide the artifacts.

Ah I see, thanks for the info on that bit.
Is that somehow related to the second problem at all?

try to increase the shadow to 2048,you can find it inside console command.

Do you mean e_ShadowsMaxTexRes? Changing that gives me really odd results, everything is super bright.

Thank you so much. Doesn't solve my issue, but putting at 8192 made it at least not noticeable, anything lower was, I want to find the root problem though. Never had it untill it was in a visarea.
