Hello, i present me, i am "Lephenix", i live in France, i am 16 years (well, 17 years in april), i started 3D like 1-2 years ago with Softimage XSI by modding the Star Wars Battlefront II game, i am a big fan of Star Wars, video games, science-fiction, i love drawing, and of course 3D, here are a few of my models: http://s1043.photobucket.com/home/NITRO051/index. I want to become a 3d artist. I have been lurking on the forum for one year, and finally decided to register, i am glad to be a part of that awesome community. Thanks for letting me join you :).

Welcome to the board, Lephenix! You'll definitely be able to learn a lot on the boards and wiki. Tons of good info on Pcount - it's where I learned as well.

This is really good for someone as young as you, just starting. You already have a workflow and pipeline to model, unwrarp, and bake. Always remember to try and finish everything you do, you can only get better. Good luck and welcome to pcount.

Thanks kaburan, that's a great compliment. My actual project is to finish the models i started (i am not very good with unwraping and texturing, that's why i stopped the models, but with practice it will no longer be a problem). After i'll be done with my models, i would love to learn Zbrush and the high poly to low poly techniques, UDK (or CryEngine) and then i could be ready to make a portfolio, and maybe do contests, i always wanted to do Comic Con, or Brawl contests (even MUTANT league contest was really cool), but i haven't enough experience.

Here comes another one. You can just...start applying for internships. That is if you are fully aware of how things work for texturing to convey a model that can be successfully used in a game, which you can learn in six months approximately if you study it constantly. If you can do that, than you will be setting an example for those who are older than you and still struggling to learn.

Just a thought. <.<

Wow, thanks, and i have still school, and i had planned to join a animation film school after school, but if i don't have to go to a 3d school, it'll save lot of money and maybe will apply for jobs, but for now i am still a begginer, and 1 and a half year of school. I would love to work in big studios like Blur Studio, ILM, Dreamworks, Pixar, Epic Games, Crytek ...
By the way, i saw you were chosen by Hazardous for learning how to makes female models, congratulations, can't wait to see your next models with what you learnt.
