Hi guys
i'm working on a tiled ground, the problem is when i use normal map all the reflection is gone i dont know why, however if a work with only a height map i got a reflection and when i add the nrml map the reflection is gone.
using 3ds max 2012 and mentalray

I think its solved but not totally, anyway here is some screenshot shows with and without nrml map, i noticed that the reflection its not totaly gone it decreased how can i fix that?

i figured it out all i have to do is to change the camera angle :p

Your normal (Map #7) seems VERY blue, I call it is badly done or not normalized maybe.

agreed. Which is why you are maybe having to look at it an extreme angle to see the reflections. A flat normal map color is 128, 128, 255.
Could you display your normal for us?

The normal map there appearing very blue is not a true representation of the normal map, it's a very compressed preview. The same thing happens in UDK and other Applications as well. There's nothing wrong with his normal map.
