musician breaking into games

got a bit of a strange one, I know polycount focuses on 3D but I have a good friend thats a fantastic musician that is looking to do some game work, any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

anyway I am guessing you mean doing soundtracks? you'll probably need a great portfolio- I really suggest trying to get on board some game mods or some iOS titles (the developers are usually indie so will not have the budget for the big guys but you're just starting out so do some cheap or free projects to get your name on published titles.
