So the good news, a few more small details and I will be employed at High Moon Studio out in Carlsbad California. The Bad news... I live in Pittsburgh PA currently and I'm having one heck of a time find a proper room share slash roommate that isn't a scam or a crazy person.
So I'm calling out to the Polycount community if any one works at High Moon or lives in the Carlsbad area and is looking for a roommate or just someone to help pay the bills I would really appreciate anything I can get. The Position is only for a year so I would only have minimal things and really require little space. So once again thank you in advanced for any leads or help.
My Planned Start Date is Nov.21 but i would be more than willing to pay the full months rent for November.
You can reach me at BradleyWascher@gmail.com or my Phone 724-734-6321.
Thanks.

Congratulations!
I wish you the best of luck in your housing search. I can't be of any help at the moment cause I'm currently here in video game Limbo AKA Pittsburgh as well. Way to go! SoCal, live it up, lol.

Have you checked with HR at your new job? That's how I got my apartment in VA, I just asked what they recommended and my contact said almost half the studio lived in a complex just down the street.

Huge grats, Bradley!
You could crash at my place, but I'm afraid that daily commute from eastern europe might be a little tiresome:poly128:

Congrats Bradley. I +1 asking HR for assistance - that's totally their job and they're invested in helping you find something. Don't be afraid to ask :)

I agree total with asking HR as a good idea and Im going to do it, On the flip side though, For my pay....I cant live in my own place in southern California..haha. So I figured I might as well ask around were the artists are(Polycount). Also its ridiculously difficult to call people on the west coast and be like aahh yeah I would like to rent your apartment, ya know in 4 weeks oh and I cant come see it or pay you till I'm there. I was just trying to see if I could secure a place to stay even for a while out here so I can get my feet on the ground.

Hey Thanks Both of you!, Yeah any word is good word and this housing thing is the only thing that is got me all flustered.
A little about myself if anyone cares. Im 23 very laided back. I dont smoke, dont do drugs. I only socially drink(maybe once a month). Use to play in a youth symphony as a kid. Been a counsler at a conservation kids camp since i was 16(basically hunting, camping, survival stuff). Love video games (of course). I'm in no way a party animal haha A good time to me is getting together with a few friends at a restaurant or house and just telling stories and laughing it up.
I also have my current landlords contact info and a credit report from july just to easy anyone's woes. Which I'm more than happy to share.:)

Carlsbad? Isn't that where Paranormal Activity takes place? You could try rooming with one of them :D

Gratz man. I totally remember your portfolio from a looong time ago.
Weclome to the squad. It will be nice to have another fellow east coaster around. I vote that on the first day you and the current Brad fight to the death. (My money is on you.) It's either that or one of you is going to have to get a nickname pronto.

Congratulations man! I hope all goes well! I'm working on getting myself out there as well, still no job. I wouldn't mind hearing about the whole experience. Keep on rock'n.
Hey Bradley, one of our designers is looking for a roomate right around that time too and I forwarded him this thread, as well as the guys posting this to our mailing lists at work. Might get some traction on helping you find the right place!
Looking forward to you working with us. As far as nicknames go, you'll be the FNG so Brad Boyles might not be called that anymore :DD

I work in Carlsbad, down the road from HMS. But I live 45 minutes South, in San Diego proper. Carlsbad is sort of a boring area to live, so the drive is worth it to me. Definitely talk to HR. They might be able to set you up in temporary housing for a week or two so you can have a chance to properly look for a permanent residence.
Congrats on the job dude!
