NEW UPDATE:

I'm Calling this thing DONE!!!! Woot! thanks for all the help guys. Now that i know the engine and the workflow i need to stick to I can work on cleaning up my current workflow. Moving on to new projects and stuff. I'm up to my neck with art deco.

In the end this thing wasn't planned very well. It was a highpoly practice that turned into something "bigger" thanks to everyone that helped me out!

I really like this level. You can tell you put alot of work into it. My biggest crit, would be lack of an overarching key light. Even some subtle moonlight streaming through the glass and framework, would create alot of great contrast. Was this done in UDK? If so, I'd love it if you either packaged it into a standalone level people would walk around in, or at the very least, get some really good HD footage of you walking around in it.

yeah that's a good idea, I'll see what can do with the moon light. I'll probably record a vid soon maybe when its done.

There's definitely some lighting work to be tightened up. My take on it is that you're introducing too many colors. It's a bit unfocused. There is so much awesome art on this that the lighting needs to be there too.

It's 98% of the way there. It's also 135% Bioshock vibe which is working really well.

Ah glad to see you finishing this up!! All that hard work pays off! :D

One thing I notice, and I think others are feeling too is the lack of a focus point. The environment is filled with beautiful assests but it has a very busy feel.

Maybe trying playing with the lighting like Jeffro said. I might try and dim the lights near the edges of the wall, just have the lights above the center of the level lit up. The globe could be the focus of this environment, so you could create a spot light and highlight that, the darks and lights would also crate some nice contrast as well.

Here are a of couple of quick paint overs to kinda show what I'm talking about, I'm bad at explaining this stuff. :P

You seem to have some weird green reflections on the floor.

The Whole process was saved to my ArtDUMP (http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1360446#post1360446). A lot of stuff didn't make it into the final level. I'm working on proper renders at the moment, just trying to upload the portfolio.

I asked a buddy of mine that knows UDK shader stuff and only lurks here. He said to have a screen position plugged into a component mask into the texture. Make sure the screen position has screen align checked on.

Hopefully that fix works. Looking awesome otherwise.
