Game Art Workshop - Workshop #6- Ghostbusters

Subject: Proton Pack

This workshop will consist of two mini-workshops. The Proton Pack in the first, and the Proton Wand and Ghost trapper in the second.

Don't forget.. These workshops are meant to be a learning experience.
They are not competitions. The sharing of techniques and workflows is the most important aspect of these workshops.
With that in mind, you are encouraged to share wip pics, videos that you record while modeling and OBj models at various stages of modeling.

Mini Workshop #1
Model the Proton Pack.

The pics in that link are from the props used in Ghostbusters II. So be wary of what version you are going to model. This is the Ghostbusters I model.

Have a good weekend.

From my research so far, that site has probably all the resources we'll need.

Some quick links to help get some of us going:

- Blueprints: http://www.gbfans.com/equipment/plans/stefan-otto/ (from reading on the site, this is among the most accurate, if not the most accurate blueprints out there.)

- Parts: http://www.gbfans.com/equipment/proton-pack/part-names/ (nice breakdown of the pieces that make up the proton pack.)

- General Info about the Pack: http://www.gbfans.com/equipment/proton-pack/

Hopefully I'll get something together soon and start posting.

Unfortunately I'm in the middle of an illustration for a theme park, but if I have time after I will get on that one, I was just watching the first movie the other day.
