meh patched crysis and installed the mod sdk. But damn Sandbox 3 crashes on startup.
No error massages or anything.

Anyone else experiencing issues?

I had a look into the engine settings manager. It tells me that the enigne is missing an rc.exe. But the only rc.exe I could locate is in the editor32-Folder. And it's not changing anything at all. SO basicly I'm clueless. Maybe my graphics card is a little too dated but I doubt that as the game runs ok on my machine.

WIn 7, 4 GB RAM, 8800 GTS, AMD Phenom II X4 955

If anyone has an idea. Let me know.

This used to happen to me all the time with Sandbox 2.

To fix it i had to edit the registry, try:

Start > Run > type REGEDIT

Then go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer\

and change NoRecentDocsHistory to 0

Why do i have to have Crysis 2 for this >_< well, back to UDK. Was kinda excited until i realized i had to have that game installed.

Well this is the SDK for the game, the separate UDK style release will be in August i believe.

It's called the Crysis 2 "mod" SDK. UDK is not the same thing. As far as I recall, you needed to have UT3 to use the UT3 Editor.

you need crysis 2 for the mod sdk, but in the case of UDK it is free till you make X amount of money off a product based on udk and can just be freely downloaded.

before udk came out you needed UT3 or gears of war to get the editor.
