Compare Reference to Decimation Model (MeshLab)

Anybody know how to compare your newly decimated low poly over your Original High poly reference? I don't know if its possible. I know it can be done in my copy of Topogun. But I don't want to retopo a huge cliff wall. At this point I have to unwrap my decimated model (that was generated in MeshLab) and generate normals, then just "HOPE" that the number I typed into the "target number of faces" field was a good guess.
