Siggraph 2011 - Vancouver Edition

Curious as to whom is going to Siggraph this year. Found out it's in Vancouver this year and figure a polycount meet-up is in order then. I figure a get together for beers sometime during the week. I'll probably be heading there myself on the 9th of August.

I'll probably just be getting a basic day pass since that's all I can afford (unless someone is awesome and can hook me up with a better pass :) )

Also, ideas and suggestions for potential places for a meet up would be welcome. I expect downtown to be fairly busy during the conference, but there should be a place or two we could gather a good group.

I'll be there to present a poster. I've never been to downtown Vancouver before, so it should be a good time. I enjoyed last year's siggraph, even though I never got off the expo floor haha.

Bah, downtown is not the only place in vancouver no ? And the public transportations look decent and there is the taxi, so it can be a bit further i'd say and if everyone is ok with that

Aww I didn't see your message until just now. Perhaps people will be around tomorrow? Would anyone be up for meeting at that pixelated orca whale by the convention center at 6pm? Woah! Looks like a begginning, i' agree with the idea of meeting mear the minecraft orca around 6!
