Looking good so far. Don't be afraid to break him into smaller chunks that you can manage as well as get a higher poly count out of. His shirt can be one piece, his pants another, legs, etc. Look for logical breaking points in your concept that you can use to help in the 3D.

Here's this weeks update, the low poly shirt and pants are done, maybe some slight tweaking, but it's time for the head and limbs.

I broke him along the natural areas like suggested, even at his arms and legs even though i hadn't turned them into ice yet.
