foot roll headscratcher

I'm creating a creature rig and immediatly got stuck on the feet. There's lots of tutorials on how to make a regular foot roll but but i haven't found a single one where toes are included.

My goal is to have a foot roll attribute and at the same time be able to move the individual toes

I only have a few days to get this rig done so if someone could give me a hint or link me to a good tut i'd be awesomely greatful.
