Hello,

I have used the train tracks script to make the tracks for the tank I am working on at the moment. The problem is when I try to copy them across all the segments are still stuck to the original spline that was used as a guide.

I have more less tried everything to get them to un-snap from it with no luck. Exporting them to a new scene and then back works but then they are no longer an instance of the original which I kind of need for the unwrap.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks Guys

Matt

have you tried freezing the transforms?
could you link the script?

Yea had no luck, do you mean the spline that is the path by transforms?

Link to the script below. Same one used in Laurens Corijn's Dozer video for Eat 3D.

Alt-Rightclick.
Freeze Transform

That should allow you to move the parts.

Ah, my friend is using the same script for a model he is using... I think he is having difficulty animating all of the tracks going around though :/

No luck. This most odd.

Are you reseting the tracks or the spline. You should be resetting the tracks.

This should add a new PRS controller on top of the constraint giving you control over the new layer of transforms.

More or less worked. Made a clone with out moving it and reset the transform in the move menu. Looks like it's sorted.

Thanks
