View Full Version : FBX Normal Issues

I couldn't find this issue by searching, so here goes.

Is anyone else having issues with importing FBX files from Maya 2009 to UDK? Every single edge on all my meshes are showing up as hard and faceted even though I checked the "smoothing groups" checkbox. I never had this with past UDK builds, but it started when I installed the September update.

Actor X works fine, but I would like to use FBX if possible.

Have you tried deleting the history? That and triangulating before export worked for me.

I believe you can also click on allow discrete normals on something like that in UDK when you import the .fbx mesh.
