So i just started this enemy today for a game i'm working on at school.
it's the first pass and the metal textures are just temp for now.
still have no idea what i wanna do with the tail so i'm open to suggestions
i was thinking some jet engine type things
anyways here's my fishhead enemy

i like the idea a lot but i would use a texture of fish skin instead of this slime surface..

yeah i plan on doing a lot of work with the textures i wanna get the model finished first before i can unwrap and goto town.
really just looking for ideas on the tail (jets, wings, whatever)

personally i would find it more interesting when it moves like a normal fish without engines ... just floating/moving like a fish :) So why not just add a metal flipper?

sweet i think i will, in the back of my mind i always wanna justify things but turns out none of the other enemies that were created for the game make any sense so i'll be able to get away with it
tried to bake out the high poly today with render to texture, fuck that thing is a nightmare. gunna take it into xnormal tonight and hopefully get some better results

decided to just put some jet thing on the back.. won't really matter anyways as the enemy is going to be head on most of the time.
got the normals through xnormal and just starting to throw down some textures
i'll do more tomorrow
