Who else is excited for this game? I was kinda disappointed with #2 but it was still a fun game, but their newly released opening cinematic does an amazing job.

I'm kind of apprehensive about this game. From what I've heard it sounds like they're dumbing it down a bit too much. I mean 2 was as simple as you get for adventure/RPGs really, still fun... But yeah, I don't like what I've heard about them catering for the casual people who couldn't figure out how to change clothes in the second one...

err... cool.

I think they should stop making games and just tell stories.

I'm more interested in Lionhead's plans after Fable 3.

I like that week of creative ideas thing, I think I first heard about it from a TED talk or something similar where a company in Australia gave their employees a week to work on whatever with whomever and they saw more production and inspiring ideas in that week than during the whole year or something crazy like that.

About Fable 3: I am excited, still have yet to beat the second one.. got to the part where I could bang my wife and quit playing ;-)
haha life actually just got in the way and I've yet to be able to pick it up from where I left off...

*EDIT tried to find the link - don't seem to have it, if someone has it and knows what I'm talking about kindly pm me so I can bookmark it! :)

loved Fable 1,
2 was one of the easiest and most disapointing game I've ever played.
defiantely a fan of the art style but frankly I wish they spent half as much time on the actual game design.

the coolest thing i get to hear about from lionhead seem to always be the prototypes that never make it to the finish line. didn't they once have some underwater-exploration thing in the works for an eternity?

on the other hand the last actual molyneux game i bought was populous 2...

You missed out on Black & White and The Movies? That's a shame, great games right there.

Fable 1 is one of my favorite RPG's, so I'm looking forward to this even though 2 was pretty disappointing. I still really prefer the setting of the first game to the industrial setting of this one, it seemed a lot more magical I guess.

Am I the only one that is upset that chicken died?

Fable 2 was too easy, but I didn't think it was that bad.

The poor chicken.

Anyone who claims to dislike Fable 2 should be treated with the utmost suspicion as they're most likely either a terrorist or a communist. Perhaps both.

Word.

I've loved each fable game. I don't listen to the moleyeneyenuynyx bullshit though. So maybe that's why.

I will buy this and play this.

Despite finishing Fable II and realizing I never actually had any fun while playing it.

I'm so happy they gave males and females different rigs so you might be able to tell them apart.

Never played any of the other games but saw the trailer and it got me more interested than the previous two, maybe it's the different time period or something but it made me wanna see where it goes.

/bump
Thought me and my bros should buy this for christmans, the (offline) coop of Fable 2 was quite fun together. The one big thing that realy bugged us, was that player two was not able to select his own character. You had to choose from one of those verry uggly presets :(

QUESTION:
Is it the same with fable 3? Or is player two finaly able to pick his own "skin" this time?

[all this reffers to Local (couch) Coop!]

EDIT:

for co-op you get to use the character you develop in your own single player game.

got the game. really enjoyed it until the end where the game was 100% ruined for me. loved the art and the humor of the game.

it was a great game until this one part at the end that due to the auto save feature. got essentally locked into a series of events at the end and couldnt go back out to free roaming around the world and do some things i wanted to do before the conclusion of the story. And since auto saving is the only way the game saves it forced me into ending the game in an evil way when I played 100% good through the rest and completely ruined my experience.

Most likely will not buy anymore Lionhead games anymore if auto saving is the only option. After 20 hours playing the game to be completely ruined for me at the end is not something I plan to do again.

i've finished it yesterday and bought it the day before, think i finished it in about 11 hours or so but i just followed the main storyline and i took the good path. (needed to do some research for a potential internship :P)

Liked the game overall , it looked very good and the fighting was pretty fun too even though there was a lot of charging magic and just hitting them all at once involved.
What i didn't like was the mission where you needed to gather followers, you could just burp in everyones face and they would become a follower...

Yeh, I know about hat both players carry over their money, skills and magic.
The question is does the character player TWO chooses, look like his character? Or his player two forced to look like one of the preset chracters. Do player one and two wear the armor/clothing they have in their individual saves, do they have more fat or muscles? Or is player two once aggain foreced to play as that tiny, skinheaded, paleskinned pirate dude? ;P
Also in Fable II player two did not even carry his own weapons, I hope that is different too :S

Autocon

it is exactly the character you made in your single player game used for co-op

Weeee! I'll buy that thing then :D Thanks a bunch Autocon!

EDIT:
Sorry for beeing fussy, but to make 100% shure...
We talk about LOCAL COOP (not online) here. Player ONE and TWO, both look like their singleplayer individuals, their outfits, their weapons, everything.
