Hello , looking at the game red dead redemption I was wondering how it could be possible to imitate the same feature of having rain forming small pools of water here and there and have them with or without the raindrops inside and that they have also the little splashy effect when you walk in and finally that thy last a bigt after the rain , they wet the around area of the terrain and disappear after a while they dry out ....
Is this possible in cryengine ? If so how?

You could fake it by using decals (there are some water pools decals in vanilla version of Crysis) and particle effects. You could probabbly hide them/make visible depending on the weather, or even trigger them in an order to simulate the pool getting bigger. Flowgraph is quite powerful as far as I know, but I haven't used it much.
