Hi, these will probably be noob questtions but I was wondering, what websites are good to host your images, will facebook work? Also does anyone know how to change your profile name?

Cheers

https://www.dropbox.com/ - This is an awesome place to host your images / workfiles on. Just drag the files into a folder on your computer and voila, online. :)

And to change your profile name you gotta talk to an admin. :)

Agreed on dropbox.

Once its installed you drag your file into a public folder, right click and choose dropbox > copy public link and paste it, your done, so easy.

Anything you put in your dropbox folder stays private but gets updated to other machines that share your dropbox. You can also share folders out with other dropbox users which is handy when working on remote group projects.

imagesmack if you do not wish to create/share account of the dropbox. But dropbox is far the most (drag and drop) app that is more efficient than imagesmack.

Hi' i'm trying to use dropbox but when I insert an image, it loads up as a red box, maybe i'm doing it worng, this is what I do, can someone please tell me if this is right.

I go to a gallery click on an individual photo, then when it becomes the slideshow I select full size so it loads up in a ful window, then I copy and paste the URL into the Insert Image thing on this forum.

If this is wrong can someone tell me how they do it? cheers

Place the file in the dropbox public folder.

Right click on the file in the public folder.

Dropbox -> copy Public link.

It has to be in the public folder if you wish to share it.
