04-18-2010, 11:14 AM

Nice work. I like where this is going, looking forward to seeing the finished thing. Maybe some wires too?

Looking forward to the result. Looks good so far. Got one laying around myself that i was working on. Had alot of problems with some areas. :)

A-N-P: thanks man. here is a wire. its pretty messy still
Notorious P.I.G: thanks i'm glad you like it. yeah i've had some problems as well. they got alot of angels on them.

When i look at the reference, the top section looks a bit thick.
04-18-2010, 12:49 PM
Asteric: yeah your right. i didnt see it. thanks man :)
04-18-2010, 01:07 PM
a small update. i thinned out the top part quiet a bit
04-18-2010, 01:31 PM
well, nice! keep up going.

Hmm, it looks a little unbalanced right now. The cockpit seems to be too far forward for the legs to keep it supported properly. The sentinel is supposed to be the Imperial Guards fast attack vehicle remember. Something to keep in mind!

Sauron: thanks man i'm glad you like it :)
doeseph: i've adjusted the cockpit alot again. i made it a little shallower and pushed it back a quite a bit. it seems to be a bit more ballanced right now. although i still need to change the position of the legs.

There's still nothing stopping it from falling flat on its face. It may actually be a flaw in the design of the original model. It's a bit hard to tell from the angle it's shot from.
04-19-2010, 03:54 AM
Jackablade: it pretty much is cause i cant push it back any further
i dont think there really made for standing still anyways. :P
i'll post a side pic of the real model later today.

Just googled some images, not sure if they are all correct as ai am not a warhammer player.
04-19-2010, 06:04 AM
thanks man. i needed some more references of the weapons :).
here is a small up date. i'm playing around with the ballance some more and i think i'm getting closer.
04-19-2010, 09:59 AM
are you going to model a pilot?
04-20-2010, 01:45 AM
Sauron: i will once i finish the sentinal.
04-20-2010, 07:24 AM
If you want to show off your model, make sure you don't hide the shape. Your gi-renders do just that, they need some specular!
04-20-2010, 11:51 AM
MightyPea: thanks for the advice. i'll have to start playing around with the lighting some more. for now i'm just using one skylight :P.
here's an update. it isnt much. i havnt had much time to work on it. (stupid school :P)
04-20-2010, 11:53 AM
looks good, you should post some wires.
1 shadow casting omni and low gloss hi spec material would make your render much much clearer.
04-21-2010, 12:48 AM
here are some wires.

here is an update. i finished the outside except for some small details like rivets.
and am almost done with the interior.
