Ohh Boyy! Why a LOTR RPG wasn't developed sooner i'll never know. But the source material just sells itself to the RPG Genre. I hope this is done well. On Consoles too! :D

EDIT: Forgot to post the games website link:

There have been a few LOTR RPG's but they're for PS2 and about 6 or 7 years old. I remember playing them and I remember them being enjoyable but I was only 11 years old then so I can't be sure...

Anyway I'm not familiar with the studio's other games so I have no reference to compare these to.

I believe one of their projects was part of the Baulder's Gate series? The teaser looks awesome, and the PlayStation Magazine is having first dibs with a 'full reveal' in May.

This has made my day :P

"Up to three players can join forces online to battle Sauron's army with "interdependent co-op play." Expect some of the staples of RPG gaming, including upgradeable skills, weapons and abilities..."

It's not an MMO. Its more like Fallout 3 or Dragon Age, i would think. You buy the game and dont pay per month. :P
