Anyone have a clue why I can't post with line breaks here? I see them in the message window, and if I preview or post I lose them all? See? Those were linebreaks. Right there! Eaten. WTF?

What are you talking about.
I got line breaks all up in this shit
edit: maybe there is some setting somewhere stripping them out? HTML by default strips out extra whitespace, etc (looks like you don't have double spaces between your sentences, either, although that could just be because you set pretty type. Perhaps you are posting with some crazy text encoding and the white space isn't getting turned into non-breaking-spaces and line breaks? Unicode vs ASCII or some shit?
I have no idea
Never ever heard of that problem before! Weird :o

You dont need to manually add line breaks, you just need to hit enter a few times
Like this.

I know about the enter key. It's the one right above the shift key, right? JACKASSES!!! :)
What I mean is, I'm putting in new lines (WITH THE ENTER KEY ASSHOLES! :) ) and they aren't showing up.
They used to. Up until a couple days ago. I haven't installed anything in weeks.
WTF?

Ok, so manually entering < br > seems to work. Why the fuck is the regular enter key way not working? Quick reply or the regular reply box, same shit. Just tried Firefox 3.5, and it doesn't work either.
This is gay.

Are you using one of the non-default forum skins? If so, try setting your skin to the default and see if that helps.

Nope, default forum skin.

IDK, you could try setting your "Message Editor Interface" to basic somewhere in your control panel thing.

Editor mode, basic.
Does it work?

Holy
fuck
it
worked.
Thanks LEViATHAN!
The Enhanced Editor is what everyone has be default. And it should work. Also, go back to the Enhanced Editor window and click on this (A/A) button seen below. It switches you from Richtext to code editing, which I think you're in:

Both 'Quick Reply' and 'Go Advanced' have this button so you should be able to find it, no problem.
I just did a quick test, it is definitely the mode you're in.
As well, are you using the theme polycount.BLACK?

Yeah, it was clicking the A/A button that fixed it.
Also, just using the default forum theme, whatever that is.
Now, it also works in both A/A modes. I think it was stuck in some nether region (like Adam's crack) between the two. Fucked up, but at least it's fixed :poly124:

WTF it's back. And now none of the buttons are even clickable in the editor? I still blame Adam :)

I'd give up bro
If your having problems constructing a post why don't you just type it out in notepad and then paste it in?
