View Full Version : How to bake Tangent maps in 3ds max.
Hey guys i recently started work on a source project and for my normals they need to be tangent space normal maps as ive never used them or know how to make them, how would i go about baking tangent maps/ making them? :thumbup:

It looks like you have tangent normal maps in your portfolio?
try looking up what they are?

"tangent space" normal maps are the standard ones you always see (blue/purple/cyan)
"Object Space" aren't used as often, and are usually largely yellow.
thanks guys ill talk to my leads and see if i made a mistake anywhere, because in the options menu tangent was already selected :S so either i heard wrong or they gave me the wrong info ill talk to my leads.
