So, as it turns out, something went wrong in communication.
Thanks to my previous thread the right people found out, and things were fixed.
I'm now starting at Streamline Studios in Amsterdam in January.

Thanks to Demonprincess for getting me to apply!

I'm sad about leaving London behind, but excited about starting at Streamline :)

MightyPea
11-19-2008, 03:16 PM
Thanks guys!

And yeah, there's a few companies there. Don't you dutchies dare rub it in. Belgium has the ONE company now.
Woedend games (which is a fucking brilliant name for a studio who made a game about ponies, given that it means 'furious') are apparantly working on something cool now, I'm told.

Stimpack: is the cheese truly that appalling over there?

oh, i was looking to start a prostitution ring. we can talk cheese too tho! =P

MightyPea
11-21-2008, 08:59 AM
What's 'stitution', why are we pro it, and (maybe most importantly) these rings... are they like the ones on Captain planet?

I just don't want to get stuck with the 'heart' one, or whatever. I call Fire!

Demonprincess: As am I! Thanks for the help.

On a sidenote, as an education of sorts for all you non-dutchies:
-Consumation of marijuana is legal in all of the Netherlands, its not strictly an Amsterdam-thing. It seems people are under the impression Amsterdam is a seperate country. Not so.
-I realise it's a big part of the cliché and all that, but what's with the freaking out about the red light district? Doesn't your capital have one?
I used to go to school in the red light district of Brussels, so I may have been desensitised.

I just typed that bit so I could slip in the anecdote of my school in the red light district, it's true.

rube
11-21-2008, 09:56 AM
I live in Canada's capital and no, we don't have a red light district.

But congrats on the job.
