so anyway, i'm a pretty sub-par painter/sketcher.
but my girlfriend asked me to paint her, so i did =]

looks great! she has a sortof "pointy" mouth, but i don't know how it compares to the real deal so no crits on that.

so anyway, finding a picture that she'll actually let me show you = not fucking easy -_-
i don't get women, they'll let you paint them, and show everyone the sitty painting. but when it comes to a real pic, they are like... the pickyest people EVER.

I would add detail to her hair, and tan her a bit, compare and contrast from photo vs paint.
Some pointers that may help,
Try using hard brushes, this will prevent the drawing from becoming blurry.
For smooth transitions/ skin, i start out with hard brushes with x% to create the contrast, and then use the smudge tool to smooth it out a bit.
The biggest thing that is missing are the shadows, this makes the face look plane.

sketching practice turned into drawing a ref of a female, i think the hip transition in the front view is off, also, ignore the face :P
