i would say add some variations in your bricks. little grim at the bottom? maybe some dif color variations from brick to brick.

nah, what you need to fix is the god damn specularity on those bricks. I hate that "next gen" look where everything looks wet. same problem that Sage had over in his sketchbook.. and I believe he solved it by making his normals less noisy.

OOoooh that's really nice- I like its simplicity a lot. It would be really cool to do a whole environment in that style.

Been working on some large rocks lately. Rocks were created in 3d Studio Max, I used Sascha Henrichs rock tutorial (http://saschahenrichs.blogspot.com/2010/03/3dsmax-environment-modeling-1.html) as a foundation to create the high poly. 200 tris. Screen grab is from UDK.
