you're a cool dude, konstruct.
I can't shake the impression that he's sad and disappointed that he misplaced his Q2 railgun and is left to fend with two combat butterknives
edit: whoop, I forgot to say this is pretty sweet. i fuckin love his face. : ) foreshortening on his right arm comes off a little strange, but only a little. <3!

whipSwitch
01-07-2009, 05:29 AM
Yea, great sketches. The foreshortening looks weird because his whole right arm isn't big enough, or his left arm is to big, you decide.

Either way, nice drawing. :)

Good catch guys, his left hand is HUGE compared to his right. its funny how certain things are obvious when you pull away from them a bit. and I`d be lying if I said I want inspired by paul richards just a tad :P

Noooo, livestream! Gonna do my spiel and say that Justin/twtich.tv let you stream in HD, very easy to set up with xSplit!

I was too late to the stream, did you save out a video? :(

konstruct
04-19-2012, 07:42 PM
Ah I didn't save out a video. Too much rendering, and fixing normals to really be of anything fun to watch. I feel the streaming medium is more for sculpting and hangin` out. The only way I think you could make a video worth watching in any case, even if you were sculpting something fun, would have some option to save the video out at 1/8th time or something.

Would you happen to know if Twitch.tv hammers your CPU like Livestream? I imagine any kind of video capture does that by nature, but it would be nice, if one streaming service was better than another, especially for doing 3d art shits.

You have really nice, pleasantly-exaggerated figures.

Really kick ass stuff man. The characters on this page reminds me a lot of Ashley wood
and Buckster stuff :) Some of my favorite artists.

konstruct
04-23-2012, 04:27 AM
Probably no more streaming for me. It keeps killing my CPU..

Anyways-
I did a paintover on the mask of a character I created a long time ago and never finished.

I`m so stoked to finally be moving on this project again. It needs to be done!

wow. your drawings are stunning. but maybe you should give them a bit more space if needed. there is this fat gunner with the chinese hat and i guess if you wouldn't have cut the "paper" so much near to him - instead would have given him more space to the right, the composition would work better. Just my 2 cents :D

Been a long time since i`ve uploaded anything here. Decided I needed to stop falling back on the ol` robot crutch and start drawing stuff more practical.

Good stuff! Ever thought about polishing one guy in 2d?

konstruct
09-04-2012, 11:52 AM
I don't really take my 2d skills as seriously as I should because guys like you exist :P Making that bar SO damn high :P The closest thing I have to a polished 2d piece is stuff like this (http://konstruct3d.com/images/media/SK_08_01.jpg) n this (http://konstruct3d.com/images/media/SK_08_02.jpg)

I was thinking about maybe taking one of those hobos through a coloring process though. Good idea :)
